Learn All You’ve Wanted to Know About Karma

In studying Joyful Path of Good Fortune, the class has hit a point that we all think would be beneficial to everyone. We only have the section on Karma left before this leg of Foundation Program ends and another begins. We would like to invite everyone who would like to learn about Karma to join us, and try out Foundation Program at the same time.

Gen Kelsang Rinzin will be doing an introductory talk for anyone interested in joining the class on studying Buddha’s Laws of Karma. The introductory course is followed by your first class.

September 7th 2010 – 5:30 PM

Foundation Program

In addition to weekly meditation classes, Heruka Center also offers the Foundation Program for those who want to study Mahayana Buddhism through a structured in-depth program.

The Foundation Program provides a chance to deepen our knowledge and experience of Buddhism through a structured program of study and meditation classes. It forms a perfect basis for daily meditation practice.

Why do we need a study program?

Buddhism teaches that to find lasting happiness and meaning in our lives we need to follow a spiritual path.

To follow this path it is important to have a qualified teacher who can offer us advice and encouragement and give us pure Dharma teachings. It is also important to have a strong spiritual community who provide good conditions for our practice.

These conditions help us penetrate more deeply into the meaning of Buddha’s teachings, engage in sincere and regular study, and maintain a daily meditation practice that is both focused and powerful.

By studying on this program we will gain great confidence in the methods for transforming the mind – from basic techniques for overcoming our everyday problems to practices leading to unsurpassed happiness and permanent inner peace.

Foundation program is also available by correspondence for those who live far from the Center.
