2018 US Festival

Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab

Taught by Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab

April 27 – May 2, 2018

Festival Empowerment & Teachings

This year, Gen-la Khyenrab will grant the empowerment of Arya Green Tara. After the empowerment, Gen-la will further explain how we can recognize all conventional appearances as the magical, or illusory, play of the mind and how we can stop grasping strongly at their apparent differences through recognizing everything as a manifestation of emptiness, the actual nature of all things.

Is this your First Festival?

There are people from Heruka Center going to this, so please don't hesitate to ask any questions at all, including for help with logistics, planning, advice, etc.

About Festivals and Celebrations

Every year the New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU) organizes a world wide program of special courses on Buddhism and meditation that explain how to apply Buddha’s teachings (Dharma) to modern living. The program includes International Festivals, National Festivals and Dharma Celebrations.

These Festivals and Dharma Celebrations provide a precious opportunity to study and practise the special presentation of modern Buddhism taught by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, the Founder of the NKT.

The events vary in length from two days to two weeks, but whatever their duration they all offer a vacation with a difference – a chance to break free from the hectic routines of daily life and focus on the things that really matter. You will come away not only refreshed and relaxed but also spiritually re-energised. For festivals and celebrations world-wide, visit kadampafestivals.org.
