Save Our Planet

Save Our Planet
A Buddhist approach to healing our environment

Gen Kelsang Rinzin

Taught by Gen Kelsang Rinzin

10 am to 1:30 pm
Saturday, April 20th

We all know caring for the Earth is important, but what to do about it? We find there is a correlation between the state of our mind and the harmful decisions and actions that affect our environment.

The solution is in the hearts and wishes of each of us. The environmental effect of greed, anger, and selfishness can only be truly resolved through spiritual growth. If our hearts were in the right place and we used our technology correctly, climate change would be easily reversed, but at present every technological advancement just increases the amount of damage we do.

In this short course we will see how it is actually possible to solve this problem. The Buddhist teachings are quite clear on this topic, and we seem to be at a point in history when we each can make a difference. Gen Rinzin will explain how our reliance on spiritual attitudes like compassion can overcome the selfishness and greed that are destroying our world. By learning how to reduce the negativity in our own mind and helping others do the same, we can bring about a shift in our own life, in the lives of those in our local community, and eventually in the worldwide consciousness!

Join us for a message of hope for purity in this world.
