Understanding Ego

It's a Jungle of Egos out There!

What is ego? What's healthy? How can we find more inner peace in conjunction with learning about our sense of self, and how we relate to others? Can we let go of our ego and still have self-respect? Come meditate on ways to be happier and have a helpful perspective on what ego is all about.

Each class is self-contained, so come to any or all!

Making Life Simple

Wednesdays, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm
April 3 to 24

Making Life Simple

We live in a complex world. One decision gives rise to downstream ramifications. Buddha addressed this. He recommended certain attitudes give us a point of view that is peaceful and harmonious.

  • * Live confidently
  • * Know that we're doing the best
  • * Rest without stress or guilt

“We could change our home or our partner countless times, but until we change our restless, discontented mind, we will never find true happiness” – Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche

Modern day life, with all its stresses and strains, and the increase of technology, social media, and communications mean that it is becoming harder to enjoy inner stillness and fulfillment. There are so many distractions we find it difficult to find space and time in our lives to connect with the source of happiness and contentment that lies within us.

Join us for this Wednesday night series. Explore practical advice on how we can simplify our lives and find inner peace by engaging in the practice of contentment. By learning to be satisfied with the conditions we have, whatever they are, we will find a great source of energy and lightness that will bring us true happiness and deep meaning.

The evening lecture will include guided meditations, a talk, and time for discussion..

Cushions and chairs are provided. No experience is needed. Enjoy light refreshments following the lecture.

Everyone is welcome!
