Every Kadampa Buddhist Center has a Resident Teacher appointed by our
Spiritual Director. Trina Gunther was appointed teacher at Heruka
Buddhist Center in the autumn of 2020.
Trina has been a dedicated practitioner of modern Kadampa Buddhism since 2004. She has studied extensively with our General Spiritual Director Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong, our Western US National Spiritual Director Gen Kelsang Rigpa and Colorado’s own Kadam Lucy James.
Trina has been teaching Kadam Dharma and meditation for 12 years, most recently in Evergreen and Denver, but also in northern and southern California and eastern England. Since 2004, she has devoted much time and energy to helping people find authentic happiness through connecting to the Modern Buddhism of the New Kadampa Tradition.
She is an inspiring example of a lay practitioner of Kadampa Buddhism, and brings with her a wealth of experience of integrating Buddha's teachings with busy daily life. Through her professional background in architecture and urban design, she offers a practical perspective to spiritual practice to help anyone apply Buddha's profound insights and meditations to their busy working and family lives.
