Relaxation Meditation

Wednesdays from 12:00pm to 12:30pm
Starting January 9

Take half an hour at lunchtime to relax, refresh and de-stress. Cultivate inner peace through a guided practice and enjoy the rest of your day with an inspired and positive mind. With regular practice these meditations help us to experience mental clarity, a sense of well-being, and increased love and compassion for others.

Increase peace of mind and positive outlook on life.

Meditation, and in particular concentration, is a powerful way to develop flexibility of mind and body. In this day and age, we need this. We live in a world where distractions are growing increasingly intense. In order to find deep inner peace, we need to find a way to move beyond these distractions and improve our concentration.

In this class, we will learn techniques to increase concentration both in and out of meditation.

One of the biggest factors in our happiness is our relationships with others. If our relationships are positive we will tend to have a feeling of well-being about our life. On the other hand, if our relationships are turbulent or stressful, then we will have a difficult time.

In these classes we will meditate on attitudes that are conducive to healthy relationships with others, and that help us to grow and become kinder and more considerate people. The teachings come from the book, How to Transform Your Life by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso
